What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial coach?
I needed help to make some wise choices around investing money, and to better understand my pension position.

How has Claire Dunn helped you?
Claire has been really helpful. She’s pushed me to be really clear about setting specific goals related to my money, and how best to go about achieving these. She’s helped my confidence in relation to understanding my pension, so that I now feel really empowered to take charge of my retirement planning, safe in the knowledge that I now know which kinds of questions to ask of myself and others.

What once was completely bamboozling is now clear. And where once I felt that I’d never understand the terms and conditions of my pension, I now feel that overcoming these challenges is a simple process and one that’s achievable for me, and not something I need to leave to others to sort out for me.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes. I wanted to feel more in control of my short-term and longer-term financial position, and I absolutely feel that now. I wanted to understand my finances and my choices, and not feel overwhelmed. And since having my sessions with Claire, I do understand, and I feel confident about making my financial decisions.

What could they have done better?
Nothing. Claire moves seamlessly between coaching and mentoring, so that all of my aims have been fulfilled. I’ve been coached towards improving my own feelings towards my financial abilities, but also I’ve received clear advice when I wanted that too.
